Who we are...
TULINAM is a faith-based organization dedicated to promoting equality and inclusivity for LGBTIQ+ individuals, within religious contexts. We engage church leadership and individual faith practitioners, recognizing them as critical duty bearers and gatekeepers in shaping attitudes towards sexual and other minorities within faith communities. We operate on multiple levels, from grassroots advocacy to policy-level forums within Church hierarchies, striving to effect meaningful change.
We also engage religious communities from which most of us come or belong to, to rekindle the heat-to-heart connections that we have lost both to our families and to our communities.
Within our own LGBTI communities, our work focus on deepening our faith and re-establishing/repairing the integral connection between our spirituality and our sexuality.
Building on the pioneering work of The Rainbow Project (TRP), which started over a decade ago, TULINAM was established to continue advocating for sexual and gender minorities within faith communities. This work has since evolved into TULINAM’s calling to build bridges and restore belonging amongst LGBTI people, our families and the religious communities we live in.
